Description
These studies, written in 1985, are intended to be moderately challenging, and hopefully enjoyable for the flautist to play. They incorporate elements of ”modern” language such as whole tone and diminished scales, quartal arpeggios and additive rhythms. With this revised edition I have made very few actual changes to the music, but I have taken the opportunity to rationalise the dynamics a little and correct some of the phrasing. The metronome indications are only suggestions. I feel the more lively studies would benefit from being taken a little faster.
