Showtime! – Wind Orchestra.  Designed as a lively and memorable opener for a concert or part of a concert, Showtime was first performed in a unique collaboration between Harlequin Brass and Equinox sax ensemble. In this concert it was used as a finale and both groups simply played their versions together. The work has versions for Flute Choir, Brass Ensemble, Brass Band, Wind Orchestra, and Saxophone Choir. It has an ostinato and a syncopated introduction which leads to a catchy and memorable theme. Whulst not a difficult piece, it has enough challenge for the players to enjoy and yet an audience can access the driving rhythms and syncopated themes. It has a bright ending that will enhance any concert.
