The clarinet is one of my favourite instruments – so versatile, so expressive, with such a wide pitch range. Lucky for Some is a collection of short pieces I have written in recent years, using a variety of light musical styles, and including two folk song arrangements. The last piece, in 13 time, gave the collection its title. They were fun to compose, and I hope they are fun to play.
