Two Dances

Description

Two contrasting dances for flute and piano. Slumber Dance is slow and luscious with rich harmonies shifting in parallel, above which the flute floats and interjects. Life Dance is a total contrast, with busy ostinati and an exciting flute part. Showing influences of Debussy and Messiaen, an exciting and challenging work for the intermediate to advanced player.
