Description
A three movement suite by Phil Rawle. The first movement alternates almost fugal tunes over quirky ostinati; the second has the feeling of a folk song with fluid changes between 3/4 and 4/4 time and between A minor and A major; the third has a bluesy feel, with parallel minor seventh chords and slinky triplets. All three parts reach up to top A (Bassoon 1 much more than the other 2), and all feature some fairly nimble finger work, most based around scale passages. A great addition for intermediate players.
