Swans on the Alpsee
£12.00 – £16.00
Description
My composition for Flute Orchestra “Swans on the Alpsee” (“Swans on the Alpine lake”) was created in 2016 as a response to a commission by La Côte Flûte Festival, Switzerland. The beautiful lake Alpsee is in Bavaria, between the gorgeous castles of King Ludwig II and his parents: Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle. The amazing nature of the Bavarian Alps, the mountains themselves, the most beautiful lake in a bowl between the mountains and the beautiful white swans, moving slowly on the mirror calm water – all this has left a lasting impression in my mind. I’ve been there twice, and both times admired the charms of nature and the Alpine white swans on the black surface of the lake. My nostalgic memories are transformed into music, thus was born my composition “Swans on the Alpsee”. At the request of La Côte Flûte Festival, the fifth and sixth flute parts of this composition are less difficult than the others, with the aim of allowing less experienced players to join the ensemble.
