Scree

Description
Scree was written in 2015 for Manon Lewis. The initial idea came after a bicycle ride out on an island in Singapore with a group of musicians. The paths became increasingly bumpy and uneven, eventually becoming just loose scree. Starting with a slow and inquisitive introduction, the piece then requires a firm swing feel and jazz harmonies are often implied as the dedicatee was particularly interested in exploring these styles at the time.
