Description
A piece full of contradictions and contrasts. Almost like Jekyll and Hyde – not knowing what it wants to be. It flips from stuttering swing to straight passages not quite sure whether to be major or minor, smooth or sustained, peaceful or angry but always moody. But no matter which side you favour, it needs to be played with commitment. The piano part is almost an equal partner and not just accompaniment.
