Description
The poem by John Clare simply called ‘Stanzas’, which I set some years ago as a song for voice and piano, graphically reflects his deeply bewildered mind, and this Fantasy adapts ideas from that song further to reflect that bewilderment through tonality, changing tempi and dynamics.
