Description
The form of this piece is based on the general format and experience of so many committee meetings: the introductory remarks from the Chair (in this case,the Horn), discussion and argument as things get under way, perhaps a break for lunch, after which a certain somnolence sets in, resumption and formal closure.
Some of the music has its origin in my setting of Louis MacNiece’s poem, “Sunday Morning”.
