Description
The collection was written as ensemble exercises for more advanced players. They often experiment with the blend of sound using some dissonance. Playing markings have been mostly left to the players to organise for themselves and be less restricting. No. 1 copes with the struggle in 5/8 time which often presents itself as a challenge for players, and is hopefully good therapy for timing issues! No. 2 is a Folksong which dances with tonality, echoing a Pagan song. No.3 is a wild and wistful scurry, as the 3 players combine their efforts to paint an expressive image of despair. The three works are hopefully great fun to play and will surely assist in encouraging good communication in performance.
