Quartetto No. 2

Description

Composing a quartet nowadays can be a challenge for any composer. In this quartet, composed in response to a call for scores by the Cypress Wind Clarinet Quartet, there is a metamorphosis of language. Its four short movements show influences from the music of Bartok, lyricisms of the second half of the nineteenth century and an almost central European style ending. This quartet is a tribute to the stylistic variety of this beautiful century that was the 1900’s.
