Mr. Henderson’s Jig
£9.00 – £12.00
Description
I composed Mr. Henderson’s Jig in the ‘nineties, for inclusion into the repertoire of a group playing Celtic music, mostly from Scotland and the islands to the north. I took the liberty of contributing something of my own to the programme and dedicated the composition to the then proprietor of the distillery of my favourite Scottish whisky. The little rhythmic game in what might be considered the third motif (bar 57), was inspired by Basque music, although I have also heard this subdivision in some Jethro Tull numbers. Thanks to Marzia Ferri for helping with the revised harp part.
