Description
A meditation is defined as a discourse intended to express its author’s reflections or to guide others in contemplation. Bruce Levine has often expressed that the cello is uniquely qualified for reflection. Its deep expressive tones and higher searching upper range allow it to soar in its upper range and ponder the depths of its low register.
Each of the three Meditations takes the listener on a separate journey while, hopefully, also inciting them to take their own journey and find their own meaning. Much like meditation in yoga, the Three Meditations are their own “meditations in motion”, guiding the listener into themselves and helping them to find their own inner meaning.
