Description
This four movement suite was written when I was Composer in Residence for a wind course in Southern France. I subsequently arranged it for Symphonic Wind Band early in 2020. ‘Morning Song’ describes the songs of birds and insects, and ‘Amphibians’ refers to the toads & frogs that were everywhere, including in our tents. ‘Sun Lovers’ evokes the lizards, basking on stones & walls, and ‘Night Flight’ refers to fluttering moths & swooping bats.
