Two pieces in a modern style by the Italian composer Antonio d’Amato. The opening Intrada is dark and sombre with rich resonant harmonies. The following Ragtime is light and fleet with much use of syncopation in all parts. Challenging and interesting, a valuable addition to the repertoire.
